Mohd Fitri Pauz has been sentenced to death by the Miri High Court for the murder of native rights activist and Miri Parti Keadilan Rakyat secretary Bill Kayong in a mafia-style shooting two years ago. Kayong was shot dead on June 21, 2016 at a traffic light near the Emart supermarket in the Kuala Baram district.
