Amanah vice-president Hasanuddin Mohd Yunus said that Amanah will be an attractive alternative to voters in the semi-urban PAS stronghold of Hulu Langat.
He said many of the supporters who previously supported PAS were now looking for an alternative to the Islamist party and are ‘harum manis’, while they will not oppose the party in the open, when they get to the ballot box they will vote for Harapan in secret.
Harapan will face a multi-cornered fight with PAS, PSM and BN for the Malay-majority seat of Hulu Langat.
