MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong reiterated that the party is merely upholding the spirit of cooperation among the opposition parties and does not see any problem for it to promote "Muafakat Nasional" or Umno-PAS alliance.
It was reported that several MCA and MIC members in their speech had spoken about the concept of Muafakat Nasional.
