In his speech during the party Pre-AGM dinner on Saturday, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong thanked the Tanjung Piai voters who voted for party veteran Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng in the recent by-election, and said the win had lifted the spirit of the party.
The MCA president also said he hoped the party would gain more parliamentary seats in the future.
