Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu said the Melaka state government is still "safe" despite the rejection of a motion at the state assembly to appoint a senator.
Last Monday, a motion tabled by Chief Minister Adly Zahari proposing the appointment of Melaka PKR chairman Datuk Halim Bachik as Senator was rejected.
The state government in Melaka is led by Amanah.
