Miley covers The Smith's at her concert in Ireland and everyone is dying to know what Morrissey thinks about that! It's ClevverNews, Smilers hey there. Check out this Instagram Miley posted of her covering The Smith's melancholy track "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out".
That was in Belfast that Miley took out her iPhone to record herself singing the depressing 80's track. She's become quite the cover song queen, recently doing The Beatles, The Flaming Lips, Lana Del Rey, Outkast and more. This latest one, by Manchester band The Smiths- is probably the first time many of her fans are hearing it. It's a pretty mellow tune, that to us, doesn't really go with the over-the-top antics of the Bangerz tour. If you're not familiar, here's part of the chorus, "To die by your side/ Is such a heavenly way to die/ And if a ten ton truck/ Kills the both of us... The privilege is mine." Ironically, earlier this week Twitter verified an account named @itsmorrissey and we were hopeful that The Smiths' frontman Morrissey had joined the Twitterverse, but alas it's not him. I think maybe now, he's gonna claim that account and start a tweetin'. Goodness knows the outspoken fella will want to tell us what he thinks of Miley covering his song.
