Miley Cyrus forgot some of the lyrics during her performance and it wasn’t because she had a bad case of the stage frights.
Bill Murray may have been the man of the hour Sunday night, but Miley Cyrus changed all of that with her candid on-stage confession.
What started out as an evening that was focused on honoring Bill Murray, kinda-sorta turned into the Miley Cyrus Show and I’m not talking about the one starring Vanessa Bayer. On Sunday, Bill received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and a ton of celebrities like David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Sigourney Weaver made an appearance to honor the comedian.
Some hit the stage to share their favorite memories with the star while others like Miley, decided to celebrate Bill with a song. The singer serenaded the actor with her very own rendition of the song ‘My Way.’ While the performance started off on a great note, the same could not be said for the rest of it.
Shortly Miley started shooting off curse words left and right because she forgot the words, she apologized in the middle of her performance for, well, I’ll let her explain.
Thankfully no one was too upset over Miley’s mishap. In fact, the guest of honor was said to have laughed it off and asked Miley to try singing the song one more time. She eventually got back on stage and performed the song without a single problem.
