Muda deputy president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz has called on Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to explain the government’s stand on the Swatch store raid last week.
The Puteri Wangsa assemblyperson raised concern about the ambiguity of what was considered harmful.
“This is a slippery slope. Are we going to start raiding all shops, including small businesses, that sell anything with a rainbow or pride painted on it? We’re sending a message that it’s not safe for brands and companies to operate in Malaysia," she said.
