Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is gradually reconnecting power supply to areas affected by the flood, said Energy and Natural Resources Minister Takiyuddin Hassan.
He, however, said that it was still not possible to restore power supply to the worst flood-affected areas due to safety concerns, including Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam.
"Look at the situation in Sri Muda, which is still flooded. It is not possible for us to reconnect the power supply to users. Everyone needs to understand that we must ensure it is safe before doing so."
"Therefore, we need to wait until the situation improves," he said.
