Police have completed their investigation on Baling MP Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim’s son, who earlier this month uploaded a video of himself getting escorted by two police outriders in Penang.

According to an officer close to the probe, police will submit their investigation papers (IP) to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) for further instructions.

"The investigation was carried out under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) against Mohamed Khairul Anwar Abdul Azeez, who is the owner of the Instagram account (where the video was posted).

"Investigators have wrapped up the probe, and the IP will be referred to the DPP for further action. Any further action would depend on the DPP's instructions," the official, who declined to be named, told Malaysiakini.
