A mural painting of Amelia Earhart, the first woman who attempted to fly solo around the world, has been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) as "The Biggest Outdoor 3D Mural Painting".
After receiving the MBOR certificate on Friday, Taiping Municipal Council president Borhan Abdul Halim said the council has commissioned 12 huge murals commemorating the historical incidences that have occurred since the town opened in 1874, to be painted on buildings in town.
