Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has hit out at the opposition for bringing up the royal institution in their speeches while campaigning.

In his speech at the Jelajah Perpaduan Madani ceramah at the Kupang night market yesterday, Anwar chastised Kedah caretaker menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and told the him to mind his words.

"You go against the royalty, you go to court, then you get imprisoned, my cell from last time is still empty,” he said eliciting roaring laughs from the crowd.
