At the 2018 Workers Day celebration at PWTC today caretaker Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced that his government would raise the minimum wage to RM1,500 within the next five years.
He said if BN wins in the upcoming general elections he would make an announcement to raise the minimum wage to a new rate this year.
This was among five labour day gifts that he announced in recognition and appreciation of the contribution by the Malaysian workforce to the national economy and development.
