Without giving a speech or taking questions from journalists, Umno president Najib Razak boarded his vehicle and promptly left the Putra World Trade Centre where the party was celebrating its 72nd anniversary.
Earlier today, several Umno Youth leaders called for Najib to resign from his post as party president as he led the party to its first defeat in 61 years.
