Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is expected to announce the dissolution of Parliament at 11.30am today, to pave way for the 14th general election (GE14).
The announcement at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Putrajaya is expected to be broadcast live on RTM1, according to reports.
The GE14 must be called within 60 days after the dissolution of Parliament.
Earlier, Bernama reported that Najib's official car was seen entering the Perdana Putra building, which houses the PMO, about 8.40am.
Prior to that, the vehicles carrying Najib's deputy Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and other cabinet ministers were seen entering the building for the weekly cabinet meeting.
