The palace welcomed the newest member to the throne over the weekend, and we’ve got all the royal details right here, right now…
After a much-anticipated and long pregnancy, Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their second child on Saturday, a baby girl weighing in at 8 pounds & 3 ounces, to become the Princess of Cambridge.
Ok, so I’m sure the new Princess of Cambridge won’t exactly have THAT reaction when she finds out her royal title, but after the royal family kept the sex of the baby unknown until she was born, there has been even more speculation as to what the family will name her. Drumroleeeee pleeeassseeeee………
World, I welcome you Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
The new parents, along with Princess Charlotte’s older brother, Prince George, looked completely calm and joyful as they were photographed with their new bundle of joy sound asleep in her car seat in the same exact spot as Princess Diana and Prince Charles presented both Prince William and Prince Harry after their births, so it’s totally fitting that the new princess would be named after the late Princess Diana, as well as Queen Elizabeth II AND the feminine version of Prince Charles, aka Charlotte. Yeah, that’s a whole lotta royalty in one name…
But all this royal news really got me wondering: How crazy would it be if the moment you’re born, you become a princess, just like that, like it’s no big deal. I mean, I’m happy for the Royal family and all, but it really only just reminds us all of one thing:
Yeah, it’s the sad reality... But I do have to give my biggest congrats to the royal family in welcoming their new princess. And I want to hear from you guys?
