Nick Jonas Spills On Kate Hudson, Being Single & MORE In Complex

So, are they or aren’t they? Nick has been rumored to be dating Kate for the LONGEST time and now he’s finally setting the record straight on their alleged relationship – well, sort of.
First things first, Nick is a free man, ladies. Although the singer said he is “very much single,” here’s what Nick had to say about his relationship with Kate Hudson. When the singer was asked if he’s “having sex” with the actress, Nick told Complex QUOTE, “Umm, you know, it’s interesting. You’re allowed to ask me whatever the f—k you want and I’ll answer it, or not. Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful. Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have such admiration and respect. She’s amazing.”
Hm, we didn’t really get the answer we were looking for, but props to Nick for being such a gentleman! Aside from talking about Kate, the singer also opened up about his past relationship with Olivia Culpo, saying that ending the relationship was the best thing for the both of them. He then went on to reveal that he’s been working on more music and a new song, called ‘Chainsaw’ is about his breakup with Olivia.
Guess that’s one song we won’t have to decode since Nick basically told us who it’s about. Nick admitted that his breakup is a large influence on his new music. He said QUOTE “Naturally, I’m going to pull a lot from that. Not even so much about that relationship in particular, but about my state of mind, who I want to be.”
While we’re not too sure who Nick wants to be yet, after this interview, we do know now that Nick Jonas is a free person, the type of guy who drinks tequila on the rocks, loves Shania Twain, and is very passionate about equality for all.
“As a heterosexual male, [I am] open and comfortable about loving my fan base, gay or straight, because to me there is no difference, it is my fan base. Your sexual preference does not matter to me and it shouldn’t matter to anybody…The goal is acceptance on all levels – that should be the focus.” And I agree 100 percent.
