Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expresses his disappointment on behalf of the Malaysian government and condemns the United States of America's (US) decision to oppose the ceasefire in Gaza.
Speaking to reporters at the Madani Government One-Year Celebration in Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Anwar said there was no basis for any country to deny the ceasefire in Palestine and frustrate the process.
Yesterday, the US vetoed the United Nations Security Council resolution, which was co-sponsored by nearly 100 UN member states that demanded an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
