Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa said that Umno and PAS needed to look beyond Umno-PAS cooperation and must consider working with other non-Muslim, non-Malay political parties.
He said in Malaysia there is no one single race that can run the country and the cooperation between Umno and PAS was just the starting point.
He was responding to a question on Umno's union with PAS and their plan to form a united government in states ruled by both parties.
