Attorney-General Idrus Harun has rejected opposition chief Hamzah Zainudin’s call for the prosecution to review all criminal charges against Perikatan Nasional leaders following the acquittal of Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday.

He said there was no basis or sound reason for the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) to review the cases that have been brought before the justice system.

Idrus also refuted allegations that the department had acted under any political influence or pressure and stressed that AGC is an independent and professional body.
