Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub told reporters after launching the Asian Seed Congress in Kuala Lumpur on Monday that there were no scandals or wrongdoings in his ministry.
He said that only the Opposition had been making wild accusations as such. He was responding to questions that the ministry had written a recommendation letter to give a RM1.4bil padi tender to the National Farmers Organisation (Nafas).
He also told the reporters to refer to the chief Secretary of the Government a question on whether the ministry’s secretary-general had been suspended.
