Outgoing deputy inspector-general of police Noor Rashid Ibrahim shed tears when delivering his last speech during a handover of duty ceremony today.
Speaking at Police Training Centre (Pulapol) in Kuala Lumpur, he recalled his first day in the service 35 years ago. But while recalling his time in the force, tears started to well up.
Noor Rashid, 61, who retires officially on March 17, will be replaced by Ahmad Hamid Bador, who once headed the Special Branch in Bukit Aman.
