Obey policies of the ruling gov't, Dr Mahathir tells civil servants

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has reminded civil servants that even though they should not be bound to the ruling party, they still have a duty to obey and carry out the policies and actions of the current ruling party.
He was speaking to civil servants in Malacca at the Seri Negeri state secretariat building today, after attending a meeting with Malacca Chief Minister Adly Zahari and state executive councillors.
Mahathir also said Malaysians should be grateful that the change of government in Malaysia was done peacefully, as he pointed out that changes of governments in other countries are usually followed by instability, riots and even war.
