Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown was once considered an enemy of the state, accused of being part of a conspiracy to topple former premier Najib Abdul Razak and his administration from power by illegal means.
But with the new change in government, Rewcastle-Brown can now enter Malaysia freely.
"I had a really smooth arrival. My heart went a little bit [taps palm against chest] at immigration, but everyone was very nice as ever.
"Obviously (I had) no problem, so that was great," she said to Malaysiakini upon arrival at KLIA yesterday.
Back in August 2015, Bukit Aman had issued an arrest warrant against her for offences allegedly committed under Section 124B and 124I of the Penal Code.
