One Direction just released what will probably be their last music video before for a while and Directioners? You’re gonna want to grab a ton of tissue boxes for this.
Simon Cowell warned us it was going to be a tear jerker! One Direction dropped the music video for ‘History’ and let me tell ya, the guys took it all the way back to the very beginning. It starts off with individual shots from the boys during their X Factor auditions and immediately flashes forward to the moment Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne turned into One Direction.
Seriously, you guys? Ten seconds into the video and the tears are already forming. This next moment will probably have all the Zayn girls in tears. Even though the 23-year-old isn’t a part of One Direction anymore, he was still included in the video and I’m not gonna lie, a little part of me hoped that Zayn would pop in the video to sing with the rest of the guys, but no luck. It’s fine though, fetus Zayn footage makes up for it.
Zayn didn’t just show up in group clips. They also threw in this old shot of Ziall (Zie-all) and it just made my heart hurt a lot. Take a look.
You guys, they were the greatest team that the world has ever seen! Actually, that’s debatable. But you can’t deny the fact that Zayn and Niall were totally adorable whenever they hung out with each other!
Anyway, how about that music video montage in the middle of the song when we relived basically all of the music videos the guys made together?
It’s crazy how much the guys have changed from the beginning until now.
Now this next moment isn’t necessarily a tear jerker, but certainly shows how much the guys have all changed. After five years of being together, Niall, Liam, Harry, and Louis all finally learned some choreography!
Okay, it’s not real choreography, but it still works like that little row boat dance they used to do back in the good old days.
Before it all came to an end, the guys made sure to include concert footage that had ALL five members coming out on stage to greet their fans because well, without Zayn, it’s just not the same.
And of course, the last tear jerker of the video is the final group hug on X Factor.
That moment was a great way to end the video because the guys basically came full circle! One Direction started with a group hug and ended with a group hug.
