Under the new rules starting from January 2017, traders and retailers are allowed to hold just four mega sales a year, compared with five in the previous year. Three of the new sales dates are to be set by the Government while traders are to choose the fourth sales date. Traders will now have to set a minumum of 10% discount on the items in their sales.
