During his official walkabout in Rantau on Sunday, Pakatan Harapan candidate Dr S. Streram says there is a need for a fire and rescue department as well as better health facilities there.
"There have been fatalities and loss of property when fire engines and ambulances took too long to reach the scenes and patients," he said after being nominated as one of the four candidates for the April 13 Rantau by-election.
