The Dewan Rakyat has rejected an emergency motion brought by a PKR lawmaker to debate the alleged RM1.1 billion extraordinary flows of funds involving Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as revealed by Australian media.
Hee Lay Sian (PKR-Petaling Jaya Selatan) had filed the motion following the March 28 report of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) titled ‘State of Fear: Murder and Money in Malaysia’.
In the motion, Hee sought the House to pass a ruling to have the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) immediately probe the media who carried the report.
