Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia explains that the proposed debate can only proceed if Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua and 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy excuse themselves from the ongoing Public Accounts Committee (PAC) investigations into 1MDB. Pandikar Amin threatens to step down if the debate between Tony Pua and Arul Kanda Kandasamy goes on. This is the second time the speaker has threatened to quit in recent months.
