PAS aims to be 'king' in Selangor, says party veep

PAS vice-president Iskandar Abdul Samad revealed that the party has the ambition to be the "king in Selangor" after the next 14th general election.
In his speech at a function to reveal the party's Selangor candidates, Iskandar said this was in line with PAS' earlier announcement that it is prepared to contest in more than 160 parliament seats.
"It has been said that we want to be the kingmaker. But with 160 federal seats, that is not a kingmaker but we want to be the king.
"Likewise in Selangor, I hope that we will no longer talk about being the kingmaker, PAS will be the 'king' along with our partners," said Iskandar in his opening speech at a ceremony to unveil Selangor PAS' GE14 candidates on Thursday night.
