A ruckus occurred in the Dewan Rakyat today when Ahmad Marzuk Shaary (PAS- Pengkalan Chepa) was evicted from the House for calling Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng 'pondan' (effeminate).
This came after Ahmad and Lim exchanged barbs over the allegation that the "DAP-controlled Finance Ministry and government" had opened up bumiputera-only government contracts to other races.
Consequently, deputy speaker Mohd Rashid Hasnon ordered Ahmad Marzuk to leave the House for refusing to apologise for uttering the word 'pondan', and suspended him for two days.
