Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said PAS' victory in the Kemaman by-election does not translate to the people's rejection of the Unity government.
He pointed out that since PAS had won that seat before, there is no added value, adding that it would be different if BN had won before and now lost.
PAS retained the Kemaman seat after Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar beat BN's Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor with a majority of 37,220 votes.
