PAS has welcomed a police investigation into a post by its Terengganu chapter that featured an incorrect version of the Jalur Gemilang, asserting that an apology alone is insufficient for such mistakes.

Party secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said the party supported a transparent, fair, and firm probe to ensure that such insensitivity, negligence, or errors are not repeated.

Takiyuddin highlighted that Terengganu PAS made a public apology and immediately corrected the mistake but said he agreed that an apology alone, without stricter action, should not be normalised as a solution for such mistakes.
