Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow dismissed speculations that Jagdeep Singh Deo would be removed as deputy chief minister II after the latter took leave for medical reasons.

“As for the speculation about him being replaced, the matter has never been discussed."

“The Penang state government and its leadership pray that Jagdeep will recover soon and return to work to develop the state for the people,” said Chow.
