Petaling Jaya Utara MCA deputy chairman Ch'ng Soo Chau has objected to the proposed redelineation of the PJ Utara parliamentary seat (P106).
He said currently the constituency has one parliament and two state seats which are Bukit Tunku (N35) with 32,000 voters and Bukit Damanasara (N36) with around 50,000 voters, which is a suitable number of voters for one parliamentary seat.
He added that if the redelineation as what is proposed goes through it will become one parliament with three state seats and will be one of the largest constituency in the country with over 151,000 voters which is a number that will be difficult for one MP to manage.
