With the unveiling of its alternative budget Pakatan Harpan has proposed to raise the minimum wage to RM1,500 a month nationwide which has already been fully implemented by the Penang and Selangor state governments.
Pakatan Harapan Alternative Budget 2018 committee member Dzulkefly Ahmad said employers might be burdened by the raise in the minimum wage, which is why they have proposed a co-pay system between the government and companies to split the raise equally for a period of three years.
