The status of Sabah and Sarawak as equal partners with Peninsular Malaysia will be restored under the New Malaysia and Pakatan Harapan government, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He gave the assurance at the Malaysia Day celebration at Padang Merdeka in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on Sunday night. He also urged the civil service and public to reject the kleptocratic administration and return to one that upholds the principles of "clean, efficient and trustworthy".
