Police are recording a statement from Dr Mahathir Mohamad's wife Siti Hasmah Ali over a protest last September against “toxic politics”.
Siti Hasmah, 91, accompanied by her husband and daughter Marina, arrived at the Yayasan Al-Bukhary in Kuala Lumpur at about 9am.
Later, two police officers arrived at 11.40am.
In her speech during the protest, also known as the “purple rally”, Siti Hasmah spoke about violence against women.
She also commented on an incident where movie producer David Teo was slapped in the presence of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
“Back in the old days, no one could be easily slapped at a public event,” she had said.
