Marlene stunned us all last night with an epic Ezria proposal! I am not going to lie I did not see that coming but I obviously don’t hate it. But what I do hate is that we never got an answer out of Aria! Take a look:
Ah! So many feels! But what the heck Aria! Based on the preview for next episode it looks like Aria is struggling to say yes, not because she doesn’t want to, but because she doesn’t know what her future holds since she and the rest of the liars buried a dead body. You know, that could hinder a future marriage for sure! And not to mention that mysterious phone call from Nicole, Ezra’s missing ex. So I’m sure that story will still come in to play as well and the fact Aria deleted the evidence of the phone call could come back to bite her.
Marlene said there is still hope for the other couples but the reason they went forth with the Ezria proposal was because they were the first relationship therefore should be the first to get engaged. She also says they spent a lot of time designing the prop ring saying we wanted quote, “ something that felt unique to her — something that wasn’t necessarily a ring that just anybody would wear. It felt special and like something that Aria would really appreciate.” Marlene also said she wanted Ezra to wear a vest in the scene to portray classic season one Ezra. And honestly, we can’t deny that he didn’t look super adorable in it.
It was also co-executive producer, Bryan Holdman’s idea to leave the proposal a cliffhanger! Well gee thanks Bryan! But Marlene promises us fans that we will indeed get an answer saying, “I would say that they'll get Aria's answer for sure in the next episode. You've got to wait just one more episode for the answer.” Ugh Ok Marlene!
