A number of Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) supporters rallied outside the Ministry of Human Recources (MOHR) this morning in Putrajaya to stage a demonstration to demand that a Workers' Insurance Scheme be implemented so that workers who lower-income workers who are laid off are able to survive while they search for a new job.
PSM estimates that some 50,000 people will be laid off or retrenched this year.
