Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali said so far no decision has been taken regarding the civil servant pension scheme, including replacing it with another method.
However, he said the study of the public service remuneration scheme is almost finalised.
Mohd Zuki said the government will have to spend some RM120 billion to cover pension payments by 2030 if new salary schemes for hiring public officers are not introduced.
