As the campaign period for the Selangor state election enters the final stages, DAP leaders have shared that their party is facing a close race for the Sungai Pelek seat.

Sungai Pelek is a suburban area located at the southernmost tip of Selangor, bordering Negeri Sembilan.

Following the implementation of the UNDI 18 bill, the amount of voters in the area increased from 30,000 in 2018 to 47,000 in 2023. Malay voters also increased from 52% to 57%.

Perikatan Nasional leaders have long claimed that DAP is a threat to the Malays and Islam. Will Malay voters in Sungai Pelek agree with them? Will DAP lose this seat? Reporters from KiniTV visited several areas in Sungai Pelek to find out.
