Everybody is down at Coachella having a great time…except for Radiohead who had major technical issues during their headlining set and walked off the stage TWICE.
I think it’s safe to say that Radiohead experienced a major let down on Friday night.
Don’t you hate when you’re in the shower singing and realize that nobody can hear you. Ok, that’s probably for the best, but when you’re a seasoned band with years in the business, you probably want your audience to be able to enjoy your performance. Unfortunately for Radiohead, the struggle was real. The band experienced some glitches towards the beginning of their performance, but when they were performing their fifth song, “15 step”, there was absolutely no sound. The band left the stage, but it happened again a couple of songs later. The audience was still supportive, but when Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke after the second time, he was annoyed I’m sure. He asked the crowd, “Can you actually hear me? I’d like to tell a joke to lighten the mood. But we’re Radiohead so f–k it.” The band went on to perform more classic hits and even performed “Creep” which is rare for them to perform these days. Regardless of the difficulties, they played over two hours and I’m sure fans are happy they pushed through the audio troubles and finished their long set.
Anyway, I have to know your thoughts. Do you think that they handled the situation well and would you be upset if that happened to you? Let us know in the comments section below. Thanks for tuning in to Clevver and don’t forget to subscribe. I’m your host Emile Ennis Jr. and I’ll see you next time!
