Terengganu Pakatan Harapan chairperson Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad has lodged a report with the MACC, calling for an investigation into three abandoned mega projects in the state worth almost RM1 billion.
Raja Bahrin, who is also the chairperson of Terengganu Amanah, said these were the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium at the Gong Badak State Sports Complex; Taman Ilmu in Tembila, Besut; and the Kenyir Duty-Free Complex which were built at a cost of between RM300 million and RM320 million each.
He alleged that the problem with the three projects was inadequate and negligent management, a weak management contract, improper supervision of management, and damages caused by thefts and vandalism resulting from the poor security of the sites.
Raja Bahrin added that he had lodged a report with the Terengganu MACC before but did not receive any information of the case.
