RAROTONGA FOOD TOUR | Eating in the Cook Islands | Raw fish salad, fresh kaimoana +24hr ice cream

This is the first video from our Rarotonga, Cook Island series! The Cook Islands is one of the world's smallest countries. This gem in the South Pacific is popular with Kiwi and Aussie travellers and with good reason- it's tropical, easy to get around and fish is in abundance! We spend 10 days on the island exploring the local food and the best eats to hit up when you visit. From the nation's iconic dish- ika mata (raw fish salad) to real fruit ice creams using local fruit like soursop and passionfruit to the best cafes and cheap eats on the island. Stay tuned for some epic Cook Island food!

1. Bite Time Cafe, Punanga Nui Market. Open Monday 8:30am to 4pm and Tuesday to Friday 8:30am to 9pm. Ika Mata $, Mahi Mahi with chips and salad $25

2. We just found out that as of 29 May 2024 the Mooring Fish Cafe has closed!
