Annuar Musa has been reportedly suspended as chairperson of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) and Pelaburan Mara Bhd (PMB) with immediate effect.
The move however appears to have caught Rural and Regional Development Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who oversees Mara, by surprise.
Ismail told Malaysiakini he was unsure of what the board's decision was, but appears convinced that it was only a suggestion.
