Several non-governmental organisations have lodged a report with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) over the religious status of a high-profile couple that had allegedly lived as Hindus despite converting to Islam. According to the complainants, the husband, who is a Datuk Seri and his Datuk wife had converted to Islam in 2013 to induce Muslims to invest in the business.
