More than 2,000 Umno members gathered outside the Federal Territory Mosque in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon to call for former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak to be granted a royal pardon.
The group, comprising the party's youth wing and student movement, was led by Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh.
Earlier the group held a solat hajat and doa selamat session to pray for the well-being of the Palestinians in Gaza and for Najib's return to his family.
