The RM10,000 compound which will be imposed on those found violating the movement control order (MCO) and health SOPs can be lessened through an appeal at Health Department district offices, said Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Abdul Hamid Bador.
He said SOP offender would be issued a RM10,000 compund notice and are given two weeks to settle the compound.
However, they can appeal to the District Health Officers and it was up to the discretion of the health officers to determine the actual value of the compound fine.
