Putrajaya had honoured a RM1 million golden handshake for former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak as required by law, the High Court in Kuala Lumpur was told today.
Witness Zarina Yusuf, the deputy chief accountant at the Prime Minister's Department, revealed that the payment was recorded last May.
Zarina also testified that Najib's last base salary as prime minister was RM22,826.65 a month and he also received a salary as an MP and other allowances.
Prior to May 2018, Najib's gross income was RM58,605.15 a month, said the witness.
